Elsa Cross (Mexico City, 1946) is the author of numerous poetry books published in Mexico and other countries. Her poetry has been awarded the main literary prizes in Mexico, and some others in Canada, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Chile. She holds a PhD in Philosophy from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where she is full professor of Philosophy of Religion. She is also the author of six books of essays on ancient cults, poetry, and philosophy.
