Rolando Kattan (Tegucigalpa, Honduras, 1979) is a poet, cultural activist, and an appointed commissioner of Honduras’s Registro Nacional de las Personas. A corresponding member of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language and a member of Honduras’ Academia de la Lengua, he is the author of eight collections of poetry, the most recent being Un país en la fronda (2018). In 2020 he won the XX Premio Casa de América de Poesía Americana awarded by Editorial Visor Libros and Casa de América, in Spain. His work has been partially translated into French, English, Italian, Arabic, Japanese, Portuguese, Chinese, Romanian, Macedonian, Armenian and Greek.
