Yusef Komunyakaa is author of Warhorses, Neon Vernacular, which won the Pulitzer Prize, and most recently The Emperor of Water Clocks, among other collections. His plays and performance art include Gilgamesh: A Verse Play, Wakonda’s Dream, and Testimony. He teaches at New York University.
