Zuzanna Ginczanka

Zuzanna Ginczanka (1917-1945) was a Polish-Jewish poet of the interwar period and part of the Skamander poetic movement. Her collection On Centaurs was widely lauded in Poland upon its release in 1936. She was killed in the Holocaust at age twenty-eight. The first selected volume of her poems in English translation, On Centaurs & Other Poems, is forthcoming from World Poetry in Spring 2023.
