Patron Henekou

Patron Henekou is a poet and cofounder of Festival International des Lettres et des Arts (www.nimblefeathers.com) at Université de Lomé, Togo. His poems have appeared in anthologies such as Palmes pour le Togo, Arbolarium, Antologia Poetica de Los Cinco Continentes, and The Best New African Poets Anthology 2017, and in many journals including as AFROpoésie, Revue des Citoyens des Lettres, and Asymptote. His most recent books in French are Des cheveux et des ongles (2021) and Vendredi soir sur la 13 (2021). Henekou won the second prize in the Prix International de Poésie “Sur les traces de Léopold Sédar Senghor 2020.” He was a 2018 African American Fellow at the Palm Beach Poetry Festival in Delray, Florida, and a 2018 Fulbright Fellow to University of Nebraska.
