Juan Suárez Proaño

Born in Quito, Ecuador, in 1993, Juan Suárez Proaño is a poet and translator with a M.A. in Literary Theory from the University of Salamanca. He has published, in Spanish, the collections Lluvia sobre los columpios (2014), Hacen falta pájaros (2016, El Ángel Editor), Nos ha crecido hierba (2018, El Ángel Editor), El nombre del Alba (New York Poetry Press, 2019), Las cosas negadas (Premio Nacional de Poesía Paralelo Cero 2021; re-edited by El Cisne Negro, Honduras, 2023) and Almas de intemperie (Anthology, Llamarada Verde, Bolivia, 2023). He is an Editor at El Ángel Editor and Revista Esteros.
