Tatiana Retivov is a poet, translator, and publisher. She was born in New York and received a B.A. from the University of Montana and an M.A. from the University of Michigan. She has translated the books Brodsky Through the Eyes of his Contemporaries (a book of interviews) and Mandelstam by Oleg Lekmanov into English. Retivov also regularly translates poetry into English for various literary journals. She has been living in Kyiv, Ukraine, since 1994, where she runs a literary art salon, “Art-Lit Salon Bricolage,” and is the director of a small publishing press, www.kayalabooks.com. After the war in Ukraine began, she temporarily relocated to Suceava, Romania in March 2022.
