Alex de Voogt is an associate professor at Drew University. He studied African Linguistics at Leiden University, the Netherlands, and received his MFA Poetry in Translation from Drew University. He has published English translations of Constantine Cavafy and Muyaka bin Haji as well as occasional Dutch translations of English-language poems. His essay on Cavafy’s 18 appeared in Translation Review.
