Two Poems

burdens are from                    12.7.2024 (2)
god the assassin
escaped taking a
bus to another
city we wait
to see what
the rich men
will do to
us she cares
for a family
of feral cats
there are few
who cannot stand
music great waves
arise near the
old lighthouse in
every instance someone
takes a risk
his words resurfaced
after twenty years
linearity can only
be imagined cold
weather means good
lettuce & rainbow
chard get in
line to fill
your bag this
is really it

to will these                            12.19.2024
words across time
as children we
walked & balanced
upon the iron
rails of the
train track to
will these words
along an unknown
way i ask
again where does
our reading go
you are what
you remember &
what you call
to mind &
what you cannot
remains equally present
she told me
about the image
of the lotus
blossom from above
& below the
water line
